Project as promised......

As promised I have a simple project using the Green Tea and Mint Ripple papers. So, I thought I would start with a greeting card that's just a little bit different, as it's held closed using a ribbon. So here goes.........

Materials
1 Sheet Cream Card (30x30)
1 Sheet Green Tea A4 Paper
1 Sheet Mint Ripple A4 Paper
1/2 m Coordinating Ribbon

Equipment
Paper trimmer
Metal Ruler
Bone Folder
Scissors
1 1/2"Circle Punch
Double Sided Tape
Foam/Mounting Tape

Instructions
1.  Cut Cream Card to measure 13x30cm and score @ 12.5 & 25.5cm and fold.
2.  Cut Mint Ripple Paper to measure 13x 4.5cm and attach to small flap on front of card.
3.  Cut Green Tea paper to measure 13x12.5cm and attach to large flap on front of card.
4.  Punch a circle from cream card using the circle punch.
5.  Cut 3 different size flowers from remaining Green Tea paper and attach to punched circle, from largest to smallest, with foam tape between each layer.  Tip: Add extra dimension to your flower by curving the edges of the petals up.

6.  Attach ribbon underneath of circle (approx. 15cm from one end of the ribbon).

7.  Place foam tape underneath half of the back of the flower motif (on side with longest tail).

8.  Attach flower motif with ribbon to front of card (with the longest tail of ribbon over the Green Tea portion of the card), approx 3.5cm down from top.  Be sure to catch the Mint Ripple flap under the edge of the flower motif, as this will hold the card shut when the ribbon is untied.
9.  Wrap ribbon around the card and tie in a bow.
10. Attach greeting of choice to front lower left of card.
Tip: Use Kindy glitz or stick on crystals to Jazz up the card.

Well, I hope you liked this little project...stay tuned for more to come!

Welcome to the world of blogging....

How exciting, I am am finally doing it...blogging that is! After thinking about it for months I have finally taken the plunge, and today is born the paper vogue blog.

Yep, you guessed it, I love all things paper...
I can remember as a kid getting my book pack at the beginning of the year and just pouring over the crisp pages and meticulously covering each one, making sure that there were no bubbles in the contact. At that stage I was not yet aware of my creative interests , however my journey since then has been one of sheer joy, savouring just about everything handmade, but in particular papercrafts! So after a 5 year stint running my own handmade wedding stationery business, I set up Paper Vogue, a wholesale business producing specialty papers for the wedding and event industry.

...Introducing Green Tea...an oriental inspired floral print (my favourite paper in the A4 pearlescent range, hence why I used it in my header!), and simply stunning when paired with Mint Ripple...

Stay tuned for some fun and simple projects for you to make with these beautiful papers.....
